We spent a weekend up in Blue Mountain back in July this year (2026) for my wife, Sam's birthday. It was really nice to get away for the weekend and have some time outdoors, but man, is the village ever expensive.
I've typically only ever gone to Blue Mountain in the winters (naturally) but it really is a whole other experience in the summer. We took in the sights by taking the gondola up but we didn't have enough time to check out the trails while we were there. There really is a ton to do there in the summer if you're into those types of activities, but I feel like you need to spend more than a weekend there if you want to be able to take advantage of it all.
Because it was Sam's birthday weekend, I didn't want to haul a ton of photography especially because we were there for leisure and to unwind first, so I just took the opportunity to try getting photos and videos from the weekend using only my phone once again. OpenCamera for Android on my Pixel 9 Pro Fold really does make all the difference for shooting RAW on my phone and I continue to be impressed with the results once I bring everything into editing.
